SAMPLE PAINT TECHNIQUES

SAMPLE TECHNIQUES:

The Distressed Swedish/French Look:  Apply one or two coats of Chalk Paint in the same of different colors and allow to dry. Then apply soft Clear Wax using a brush. Next, wipe off any excess wax. Then rub over gently with medium grade sandpaper to distress it. For a more distressed and aged look, use the Dark Wax over the clear. Finally, apply more clear wax and allow to completely dry (about 24 hours). If more of a sheen is desired, buff the wax after it is completely dry.

The Washed Wood Look:  Apply a damp cloth over freshly dry paint and spread to make a transparent color. Or, mix a small amount of water with a small amount of paint to thin the paint before applying.

The Polished Plaster Look:  Apply two coats of Chalk Paint in the same or different colors. Then rub with a fine sandpaper until shiny smooth. Leave or wax for extra shine and protection.

Create A Blackboard that is not Black:  Apply three coats or Chalk Paint to a wall or wood. Allow to dry overnight. Buff with a soft dry cloth.

For Use in the Garden:  Use on wall, wood or terracotta and leave to harden overnight. No need to varnish or wax.

Important Note:  Make certain that the paint is well mixed. Even turning the can upside down for a bit before stirring!
